Review: Total Image Smelly-No-More Crystal Salt Deodorant (Verdict: ★★★★★)

Have you ever been so unlucky that you were always sardinnes-canned during your LRT commute ride, and to top it off, the person besides you has this unbearable stench about her/him?

I had, in more times than is enough, and silently prayed that I wasn't born with such sensitive nostrils.

Those stench, a mix of musky sweat and lucid moistness, can change an otherwise thrilling rides ( I was enroute getting Baskin Robin on 31st) into a somewhat daunting one. I was always fuming to myself, " Man, don't these people smell themselves? Do they not know that deodorant was invented in 1930s?".

To me, letting some stranger whiff your sweaty armpits is akin to letting someone see you half naked, such disgust! So, I made sure each and every day, I carefully applied deodorants before I leave the house.

Although I dislike the fact that conventional deodorants sometime stains my shirt or turns the skin area on my armpits flaky, I relented because at the end of the day, I convinced myself I would rather feel uncomfortable with my stained shirt and flaky skin rather than making those around me uncomfortable.

That is, until I found out about Total Image Smelly No More Crystal Salt Deodorant, which is made with Natural Crystal Salt and nothing else! Purchased it at Watson for Rm24.60, I was sceptic at first.

I mean, so many commercials in the TV had convinced me that I need like microairsm and all that chemicals I couldn't pronounce to rid of any body odour, so how does this tube of nothing but crystal salt works?

Well, it's fairly simple logic. Similar to how we gurgle salt water to kill bacteria in our mouth, this deodorant simply kills bacterias before they start proliferating near your armpits. The limitation for this type of deodorant though, is that you have to use it when you are fresh and clean out of shower, not when you are already sweating and stinking, because it simply would not work. The reason to this is because the crystal salt itself is odorless, hence it will do nothing to mask body odours, it only serves to kill bacterias near your armpits, before they start causing those odors.

How to use?

1. After shower, wet the top of the crystal salt OR your ampits.

2. Apply evenly on skin and allow 1-2 minutes for dry.

Personally, I am totally in love with this product, as not only it is organic, it actually works in getting rid of body odour! I have been using it for over a week now, and believe me, even when I sweat profusely, still the salt helps in eliminating any odours at bay.
