The Muq: To New Beginnings.
Hi. Hello. Welcome. Hugs. (open door, invite you into my home)
I know some of you must be wondering why do I have a section called
The Muq.in my blog.
The Muq stands for Muqqadimah, an Arabic word which means
introduction, first page view into great history, and in short, a prelude or
pilot. The reason why I chose this name for one of my section is because I
simply love the idea that every story has a beginning, a preface for that matter,
and that through these first few pages, you can actually have a gauge of how
the writer thinks, what are the thought processes and by all means, the
sincerity of the writer in delivering his or her point of views. True enough, a
lot of people call themselves a writer, but a true writer is the one who can
tell you what do they want to achieve with their writings, where their concerns
lay and will tell you their story, with hearts on their sleeves.
Whilst I cannot assure you that I am a good writer, but I will stand
by my grounds that I am sincere in what I write.
In the spirit of 2016, I am sure all of you has set your own new
year’s resolutions, as was I.
One of my resolution this year is actually to be consistent in what
I do and perseveres through hard times. I know to some, this sounds like a very
abstract and subjective goal to be put in the resolutions- bucket-list, but
when you come to think of it, these are basic foundations if you want to
achieve the rest of your other goals, be it eating more healthily, invest
smartly, read more et cetera et cetera. The
key is, never being enough emphasized, being consistent and perseverance.
“He has drawn back, only in order to have enough room for his
leap.”
-Friedrich Nietzsche
I am telling you this because, as time goes by, I want this blog to
be one of the avenue for women to seek information, not just your average
female magazines which revolves around the Best Summer/Spring Wardrobe and new
shade of blusher called mauve, but information that we all can use on an
everyday basis, educations that we can deploy to better ourselves. And for that
to happen, calls for utmost perseverance.
That aside, let us toast to 2016 and new beginnings.
